ARTICLE 3. MOVING BUILDINGS

(a)   No person, firm or corporation shall move or cause to be moved any house or building either in whole or dismantled from or into the City of Bucklin, Kansas or from one place to another within said City without first procuring a permit from the City Council. No permit shall be issued until the applicants furnish said City with a bond in the amount of $5,000 or in lieu thereof, a copy of an insurance policy, conditioned that the person, firm or corporation securing the permit with indemnify the City and all persons against all damages caused by moving of any such building.

(b)   Provided, however, if that person firm, or corporation any applicant for a house moving permit shall furnish the City Clerk with evidence that he is currently operating under a K.C.C. permit, and has current public liability insurance policies which cover house moving, no additional bond or insurance shall be required.

(c)   The violation of any provision of this article shall constitute a misdemeanor, and any person upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $100.
