(a) No motor vehicle shall be allowed to turn in the middle of the block on Main Street between Front Street and Grace Street. Such vehicles going north or south must turn to the intersection of Grace and Main, Marion and Main, Cedar and Main, Elm and Main, Maple and Main, Center and Main, Oak and Main, and Front and Main, keeping to the right at all times.
(b) No motor vehicle shall be allowed to remain on Main or Center Streets in the City of Bucklin, Kansas, without being parked. All such vehicles shall be parked to the right curb at a quarter angle.
(c) No motor vehicle shall be parked as above described so as to obstruct the alleys intersecting with Main and Center Streets not to block any sidewalks along such streets.
(d) Any person or persons operating a motor vehicle violating this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon convictions shall be fined the amounts as follows:
(1) First offense; $1.00 plus costs
(2) Second offense and subsequent offenses to be left to the discretion of the police judge, not to exceed $100.00

(a) That the several acts and offenses specified and set forth in this article are hereby declared to be offenses against the good order, public peace and proper Government of the City of Bucklin, Kansas and any person found guilty of violating any of the provisions of this article shall upon conviction thereof before police judge of the City be punished as hereinafter provided.
(b) For any fast or reckless riding or driving or for racing on any street or alley in the City, a fine of $50.00 for the first offense not to exceed $15 plus costs. Second offense, a fine of $25.00 plus costs and for a third offense a fine of $50.00 plus costs.
(c) It shall be unlawful for any person to run a motor vehicle to exceed 20 miles per hour on any street or alley in the City of Bucklin except where otherwise posted.
Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of this section shall be fined in the amount of $5.00 plus costs for first violation; $10.00 for a second violation, plus costs and the third and subsequent violations to be left to the discretion of the judge with a maximum penalty of $100.00 plus costs.

(a) The Governing Body hereby establishes a maximum speed limit of 20 mph on the following streets and locations within the city:
Ford Street from 300 Block South thru the 500 Block South
Dodge Street from 400 Block South thru the 500 Block South
Grace Street from 100 Block East thru the 300 Block East
Cedar Street from 100 Block East thru the 300 Block East
Marion Street from 200 Block East thru the 300 Block East,
(b) The chief of police is hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of such speed along said street.

(a) A school zone be and is hereby established within the limits of the City of Bucklin, Kansas, and within the metes and bounds described as follows: from the south end of Main Street with its intersection with Grace Street north two blocks on Main Street to the intersection of Main Street with Cedar Street.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle to exceed 20 miles per hour on Main Street while the School Zone as set out above.
(c) Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of this section shall be fined in a sum of not less than $10.00 nor more than $25.00.

(a) Definition. The use of unmuffled engine brakes means any device used to slow down a motor vehicle by engine compression creating loud or excessive noises to be emitted through the vehicles exhaust system.
(b) Use of unmuffled engine brakes is prohibited except in emergency situations. It shall be unlawful for any person operating a motor vehicle within the limits of the City of Bucklin, Kansas, to use unmuffled engine brake systems installed in said motor vehicle, except in emergency situations.
(c) Penalties for violations. Any person convicted of a violation of this section will be deemed guilty of a class C Misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $100.00 or by imprisonment for not more than 30 days or both such fine and imprisonment.

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to park, cause to be parked or permit to remain parked on any of the streets of the City of Bucklin with any type of motor vehicle other than a regular passenger vehicle commonly known as an automobile or a truck with a manufacturer rated carrying a tagged capacity of sixteen thousand (16,000) lbs. or less. Any truck of a greater rated capacity tractor, truck-tractor, trailer, semi-trailer is expressly prohibited.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to park, cause to be parked or permit to remain parked upon any of the public streets of the City of Bucklin for a period in excess of twenty-four (24) hours, any trailer or semi-trailer.
(c) Nothing in this section shall prohibit any of the vehicles herein before described from parking temporarily for the purpose of loading or unloading goods or persons for any other legitimate purpose. The temporary parking shall not exceed thirty (30) minutes.
(d) The governing body declares that it is its intention in enacting this section to preserve the streets of the City for vehicular traffic and to remove therefrom motor vehicles and mobile equipment of such size and weight as will contribute to the rapid deterioration of the public streets or to impede the normal flow of traffic or to obstruct the vision of motorists upon the streets.
(e) “Person” as used in this section shall mean every natural person, firm, partnership, association or corporation.
(f) Any person who violates this section shall be fined $25.00 for the first violation. Fines for subsequent violations in any calendar year shall be set at the discretion of the Municipal Court. The maximum fine shall not exceed $250.00. The Municipal Court may assess any repair costs for damage caused by the parking of a motor vehicle on the public streets of the City of Bucklin.
