ARTICLE 1. BUILDING RESTRICTIONS
The fire limits shall include lots one (1), two (2), three (3), four (4), five (5), six (6), seven (7), eight (8), nine (9), ten (10), eleven (11), twelve (12), block seven (7), City of Bucklin.

(a) No person or persons, firm or corporation, shall erect or cause to be erected within the fire limits, of the City of Bucklin, any structure of any kind, nor enlarge, nor add to the outside dimension thereof nor relocate any building or structure already erected, without a building permit first being obtained from the City Clerk, approved by the Mayor. Such permits, however, shall be provisional, and shall be subject to the approval or refusal of the Mayor and Councilmen of the City of Bucklin. No provisional permit shall be issued by the City Clerk, unless the application thereof shall be approved by the Mayor, whose duty it shall be to examine and report on said application without delay.
(b) The application for such permit shall be made, and the permission obtained before work is commenced, on the foundation for any such proposed building begins, and such application shall state the exact site to be occupied, the material, dimensions and estimated cost of the proposed building, structure or addition, the purpose for which the same is to be occupied, the number of floors to be constructed within the same, and the probable time within which the work will be completed.
(c) Plans and specifications of the proposed erection, alteration or addition, shall be submitted to the Mayor and Councilmen for inspection and approval before the permit is issued, when so required by the Mayor or Council. The City Clerk shall keep a record of all permits issued, and also a record of all violations occurring under this article, showing the actions taken in every case, and shall also file in his office all applications upon which permits are refused. A fee of $5.00 will be charged for each permit.
(d) Any person or persons, firm or corporation, contractor, workman or builder, violating any of the provisions of this article shall upon conviction thereof be fined not less than five, nor more than one hundred dollars for each offense.

(a) The outer walls and roof of all such buildings shall be constructed of iron or steel and shall not be larger than 16 ft. x 24 ft. and not over 10 feet high at eaves.
(b) Said building shall not be erected, closer than 30 ft. from main building.
(c) Any person or persons, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this section shall be fined in any sum, not less than five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars for each offense.

(a) No fences shall be constructed in the City of Bucklin without first securing a building permit as required by the county from the City Clerk.
(b) All fences shall be constructed with a twelve foot set back from the curb or street.
(c) All fences are to be set back two feet from the alley for a utility easement on the back of the lots.

The owner or occupant of any lot or lots in the residential portions of the City of Bucklin, Kansas shall set any building sixteen (16) feet inside the property line of all streets and avenues, with the exception of Park Terrace Addition which is twenty-five (25) feet from the front and fifteen (15) feet inside the property line of all streets and avenues.
